Here’s what you’ll need to get started.
BiH Citizenship.
First and foremost, you’ll need to claim your citizenship!
Click here to see if you qualify for a citizenship (text is in Bosnian).
This process takes about 2 months to complete in the U.S. Registering to vote with requires that your citizenship be at least 6 months old.
You can get started by contacting the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Washington D.C.
2. Register to vote
After you get your citizenship, you’re ready to register! Keep your JMB (identification number) in hand and fill out the correct forms.
If you’re registering to vote outside of the country, you can head over to our registration page to get your form filled out.
If you were born in Bosnia and were counted in the 1991 census, you can still vote if you don’t have a document.
