“…Bosnia is not just a piece of land in the mountainous Balkans. For many of us, Bosnia is an idea, a dream of a country at the crossroads of the worlds, on the great border between East and West.

It is a country of more religions and nations, and therefore a country of tolerance, where everyone can think and believe as he wants, where there must be no violence against man and where there will be no injustice.

That was our dream of Bosnia and only such a Bosnia can exist and survive.”

Alija Izetbegović
First Chairman to the Presidency of BiH
